Evacuation Paging Systems
Protecting your most valuable assets

Morefield Communications is committed to designing and providing life-safety applications. We routinely work with fire and alarm professionals to integrate systems for organizations.

We can address issues and questions like:
Why have loudspeakers in the ceiling?
Won't paging lead to distractions throughout the day?
Loudspeakers are not consistent with aesthetics. Are there other options?
No one is comfortable making public addresses...especially in emergency situations.

Why have loudspeakers in the ceiling?
Organizations have moved away from overhead paging due to advances in wireless communications. There was no need to "page" if mobile staff had phones with them....Right?

When was your last fire drill? How do you give notice to all employees to leave the building? Attention to employee safety is at the forefront of legislation and guidelines for business. Evacuation notice is critical to ensuring safety.

Won't paging open the door to distractions throughout the day?
No. Paging system access can be limited to specific individuals.

Loudspeakers are not consistent with aesthetics.
If aesthetics are a concern, consider using your ceiling tiles as loudspeakers. The i-ceilings line from Armstrong World Industries embeds the loudspeaker (and/or wireless access point) in the ceiling tile. It’s aesthetically pleasing and better for sound coverage.

No one is comfortable making public addresses...especially in emergency situations.
Emergency and evacuation announcements may be pre-recorded by professionals. These announcements can cover a set of different situations: fire drill, partial evacuation, and real emergency "this is not a drill" situations.

When there is an incident or a drill, authorized staff “press the button" to engage the announcements. The professionally-recorded, situation-specific announcement is sent over the loudspeakers. Instructions are clear and repeated indefinitely. Personnel can evacuate immediately.
